Edna Murle Kelly was called to her heavenly father�s arms on Sunday March 3, 2013 in Lubbock, Texas. Murle, as she was known to many, was born on December 9, 1933 to Earvin Lee Carter and Rosa Lee Simer in Lubbock, Texas. She grew up in the Lubbock area and attended Lubbock schools.

On July 21, 1950, she married Jimmy Drue Kelly in Lubbock and started a family. They moved to Spur 13 years ago. She held many titles in her life: wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, file clerk/greeter, homemaker and friend. She was actively involved in the Red Hats Society in Spur and former member of the Rebecca�s Lodge. She loved to crochet for her family and friends. She also loved her kitty cats, Sam and Molly.

Murle is preceded in death by: her parents, brother James Carter, her twin Hazel Pearl Sytles, sister Virginia Seymour and great-granddaughter Whitney Case.

Survivors include: Her loving husband Jimmy, daughter Marilyn Jordan of Spur, daughter Pat McKeown and husband Gene of Shallowater and Jimmy Jr. and wife Julie of Plainview, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, sister Marcella Carr of Lubbock and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be Thursday March 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Spur, Texas with Rory Mosley officiating under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home in Spur, Texas. Interment will follow at the Spur Memorial Cemetery in Spur, Texas.

In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Spur Senior Citizens at 210 Burlington Spur, Texas 79370.
