Services for Donald L. Karr, 66, of Spur were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2003, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Harbison officiating. Burial was in Spur Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home in Spur.

He died Saturday, January 4, 2003 in Lubbock.

Mr. Karr was born February 7, 1936, in Spur to Joseph and Inez Yeakley Karr. He was a lifelong farmer and resident of Spur.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John W. "Dub" Karr.

He is survived by five sons, Keith Karr, Robert Karr and David Karr, all of Spur, Terry Karr of Fort Worth and James Karr of Middletown, Ohio; two daughters, Ruby Karrof Spur and Louise Karr of Calhoun, Ga.; two brothers, Tim Karr of Lubbock and Arlen Karr of Plano; two sisters, Charlotte Williams of Abilene and Tanya Sue Petty of Clovis, N.M.; and two grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association, 3403 73rd St., Lubbock, TX 79423.
