Funeral services for Marion Jordan, 68, a retired Spur stock farmer, were held Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Norris Taylor officiating.

Mr. Jordan died March 19 in Highland Hospital, Lubbock. He had been a resident of Dickens Co. since 1910, coming here from Erath County.

He was a deacon of the Baptist Church here and was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge No. 1023. He served two terms as Worshipful Master of the local lodge and also served as Dist. Deputy Master. He was a 32nd degree Shriner, and a member of the Lubbock Shrine. He was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Odessa Jordan, Spur; (his wife by a previous marriage, Mrs. Eunice Little Jordan, died in 1968); two daughters, Arlene Sexton, Dallas and Joan Green, Houston, one step-daughter, Charlotte Hudson, Spur; two step-sons, Roy and C.V. Hagar, both of Girard; two sisters, Mrs. Creola McClanahan and Mrs. Evelyn Hopkins, both of Lubbock; one grandchild, Elizabeth Green of Houston and seven step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Jesse Morrison, Mutt Hagins, R.G. Bostic, Jimmy Stewart, Raymond Bailey, Monroe Tunnell and Vernon Wright. Honorary pallbearers included deacons of the First Baptist Church, Spur and members of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star.

Burial was in the Spur Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.
