George Jordan, Spur Resident Dies Jan. 8

George Andrew Jordan, resident of Spur, died Jan. 6, 1955, at the age of 42.

Jordan was born in Erath County Aug. 1912 but moved to Dickens early in life.

He was converted at the age of 14 and was a member of the Steel Hill Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Jan. 8, at the First Baptist Church. Rev. R. D. Hill officiated with Rev. L. R. Pendley assisting.

Pallbearers were Sandon Sherer, Raymond Bailey, Rex Carlisle, George Edwin, J. B. Morrison,Jr., and Vernon Wright.

Survivors include a brother, Marion of Spur, three sisters, Mrs. Creola McClanahan of Lorenzo, Mrs. Nadine Hopkins, and Mrs. Evelyn Marshall of Spur

Chandler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
