Funeral services for Fred Edward Joiner, 91, were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Lakeside Baptist Church. Rev. A. Todd Anson, and a former pastor here, officiated.

Mr. Joiner died at his home in Spur on November 30. He was a retired day laborer. He had been a resident of Dickens County since 1920, coming here from Leon County. He was a member of the Holiness Church and the Western Beauty Lodge No. 138.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Joiner, Spur; three sons, Vernon Joiner, Spur and Earnest and Walter Joiner, both of Midland; five daughters, Marle Patterson and Katie Thompson, both of Spur. Pearl Coleman, Dallas, Corine Tryels and Rosie Lee Creamians, both of Albuquerque, NM.
