Heart Attack Fatal to Local Trucker

Walter Elmer Johnson, 53, who has lived in Spur since 1927, died of a heart attach at his home about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

He was a trucker.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Riley Fugitt officiating.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Joyce McNelley, Mrs. Lois Byrd, Doris Ann Johnson; four sons, Edward H., Jimmy, Jerry Mac, and Walter.

Pallbearers were Russell Williams, Horace Hyatt, Buck Wagner, Levi Meadows, Harry Ellis, and J.L. Williamson.

Interment was in Spur cemetery with Campbell's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
