Funeral services for Mrs. Cleo Chapman Johnson, 51, of Pampa, were conducted at 2 p.m., August 16, 1949, in the Spur Church of Christ with C.V. Allen officiating.
Mrs. Johnson was killed August 13 in an automobile accident. She was born September 20, 1898, in Falls County, Texas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.W. Chapman. She married Dewey Johnson on March 21, 1920, in Spur, and they have resided in Pampa for the past few years.
Pallbearers were Jack Rector, Lawis lee, O.L. Kelley, E.S. Lee, Coy Dobson and L.D. Ratliff.
Survivors include one son, Billie D.; her mother, Mrs. May Chapman; eight brothers, Willard and E.E. Chapman, Pampa; Alton B. Chapman, Floydada; W.B. Chapman, Amarillo; Joe, Mathis, Sam and Garland Chapman, all of Oakland, California; and two sisters, Mrs. W.E. Moore, Eastland and Mrs. E.H. Ousley, Pampa.
Interment was in Spur Cemetery with Campbell's Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
