W.W. Johnson Died Last Thursday

W.W. Johnson, resident of Spur for several years, died at his home in the northwest part of town last Thursday morning at 2:30. Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. J. Melvin Jones at 2:30 Thursday afternoon. Interment followed in Spur cemetery with Bill Kinney in charge. Wilburn William Johnson was born at Lockhard, TX January 3, 1861. He was married in 1913 to Miss Una Culbert, to which union there were born eleven children: Lawson of San Antonio, Mrs. Beulah McWater, Louis, Lourman, Luther, Lawrence, Ruby Nell, Opal, Mrs. Doris June, Francis and Roy. Lawson and Roy were unable to be present for the funeral services. All the children and Mrs. Johnson survive.

Mr. Johnson farmed for several years west of town after moving to this county, moving to town a few years ago, working as a laborer. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
