Services for Fairy Elizabeth Robinson Ijames, 93, of Spur were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 1999 at the Community Bible Chapel with Ned Hicks officiating. Burial was in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Ijames died Sunday, September 5, 1999, at Crosbyton Hospital. She was born May 26, 1906, in Plainview. She married the Rev. Dewey Ijames on Sept. 18, 1927, in Spur. He preceded her in death, March 27, 1977.

She lived the early part of her life in Stamford and Swenson, moving to Spur at the age 12 years old. She also lived in California and North Carolina, where she taught piano for 25 years. She moved back to Spur in 1986. She was a housewife and a Baptist.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnye McMahan of Spur; three brothers, J.P. Robinson of Lake Izabella, Calif., Charlie C. Robinson of Florence, Ore., and Pick C. Robinson of Ceres, Calif.; one granddaughter, Ivy Mahan Joyner of North Carolina; and three great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Stayce and Ruben.

One brother preceded her in death, Clarence L. Robinson who died in WWII. Also two sisters, Dora Lee Jenkins who died in 1987 and Anna Bell Pope who died in 1990.
