U.S.Flag  Funeral services were held Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. in the Lakeside Baptist church for William Hunter, 66. Rev. T.D. McGee officiated, assisted by Rev. C. C. Hickman.

Mr. Hunter lived in Dickens County from 1921 to 1947. He was a member of the Church of God in Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Pastola Hunter, Black Springs, Nevada; his mother, Lorene Holmes, Spur; two brothers, Alvin Hunter, San Francisoc, CA and Elmer Hunter, Wichita Falls, two half-brothers, William Hunter, Highlands, CA and James Hunter, Dallas. Five half sisters, Novis Joiner, Gladys Moore and Jane Pearl Price, all of Lubbock; Mattie Mae Sanders and Lois Berry, both of Hobbs, NM.

Burial was in the Spur Cemetery.
