Memorial services for Grady Gilbert Hunt, 72, Lubbock, were held June 26, at the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church in Lubbock with Bishop Davis officiating.Hunt died, June 25, about 4:45 in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock following a lengthy illness. He was born October 5, 1914 in Venice, Texas. A maintenance engineer, he had lived in Lubbock since 1959.
He married Bertie Walden September 22, 1934, in Roswell, New Mexico. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include his wife, Bertie Hunt, Lubbock; two daughters, Carolyn Mays, Lubbock; Betty Parker, Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers, C.W. Hunt, Lubbock and L.C. Hunt, Meadow; two sisters, Dorothy Kidd, Lamesa and Lona Horton, Los Angeles, California; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Fred Myers, Nickie Kidd, C.W. Hunt, Jr., David Morgan, Elder Jenson and Joe Bailey Hunt.
Graveside services were held in Spur Memorial Cemetery at 4 p.m. Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial services for Bertie Faye Hunt, 74 of Lubbock, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 1993 in the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, Lubbock. Bishop Whiz David, Lubbock, officiated.Graveside services were at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Bishop Davis again officiating.
Mrs. Hunt died about 2:48 p.m. on February 5, in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Ralls and had lived in Lubbock since 1959. She married Grady G. Hunt on September 22, 1934 in Roswell, NM. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Church of the Latter Day Saints in Lubbock and was a lab assistant with Medical Professional Building for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Mays, Lubbock and Betty Parker, Phoenix. Arizona; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Fred Myers, Rodney McCowen, Leon Lopez, Sean Mays, David Morgan and David Walden.
Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
