Graveside services for Scott Hulme, 27, of Big Spring were held Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Spur Memorial Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur. He died Sunday, July 20, 2003.

Scott was born February 27, 1976 in Slaton. He was a student at Spur ISD until his junior year when he moved to Floydada and lived with his grandparents, Billy and Betty Marquis. He graduated from Floydada High School in 1994. He attended Texas Tech University and Midwestern State University.

He was involved in many activities during his years in Spur including Little League Baseball, Little Dribblers, football, basketball, and golf. He was a sports enthusiast and a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, and Texas Tech Red Raiders. As a senior at Floydada High School, he participated in the DECA program. Scott won the State Title in marketing and Management in Houston and advanced to Detroit, Michigan, where he competed in the National DECA conference.

Scotty is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline Sherree Hulme of Rochester; his parents, Mike and Sherree Marshall of Spur; one brother, Kyle Hulme of Spur; one sister, Heather Hulme Montemayor of Spur; his grandparents, Billy and Betty Marquis of Lubbock, Shirley Lenz of Spur, and Sam and Barbara Hulme of Dickens; aunts and uncles, Billy and Katy Marquis of Edna, and Ronald and Kim Todd of Spur; two nephews, Marquis and Michael of Spur; two nieces, Morgan and Madison of Spur; and many family and friends.

Pallbearers were Leslie Lester, Payton Lester, Damin Pellizzari, Cint Hale, Tom Hale, and Jack Marshall.
