Funeral services for a former Spur businessman, A.C. (Deacon) Hull, 75, were held December 26 in the First Baptist Church, Spur. Mr. Hull died in Dickens on December 23. Rev. Norris Taylor officiated at the service.A retired druggist, Mr. Hull resided in Lubbock at the time of his death. He was a former principal in the Spur school system from 1924 to 1926. He operated Red Front Drug here from 1926 to 1968. He also had operated a chain of drugstores in Lubbock for the past 17 years.
He was a member of the Baptist Church and also was a member of the Rotary and Lions Clubs. He was born in Rising Star in 1901 and was the son of a Baptist minister, Rev. and Mrs. L.D. Hull.
Mr. Hull is survived by his wife, Mrs. Loretta Hull, Lubbock; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Haines, Raytown and Mrs. Sue Simmons, Garland; one stop-son, Robert Beeson, Midland; one sister, Mrs. Jesse McBride, Houston; eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Elbert Garner, Rip Garner, Dr. Bob Alexander, O.B. Ratliff, Winston Brummett, Martin Pope, Tom Milam, Dee Garner and Boyd Smith.
Honorary pallbearers included Frank Watson, C.L. Harris, John McClendon, Dempsey Sims, Sr., and R.J. Self.

Midland (Special) Graveside services for Loretta Hull, 77, of Midland will be at 2 p.m. today in Spur Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Genoa Goad, pastor of First Baptist Church of Spur, officiating.Burial is under direction of Ellis Funeral Home of Midland.
Mrs. Hull died Tuesday in Terrace West Nursing Home after an illness.
She was born in Spur and moved from Lubbock to Midland in 1982. She married A.C. "Deacon" Hull in 1957. He died in 1979. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include a son, Robert K. Beeson of Midland; three brothers, Keith Garner of Fort Worth and Elton "Rip" Garner and Elbert "Bunk" Garner, both of Spur; a sister, Dorothy Bird of Abilene; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
