Services for Mark Monroe Hogan, 73, Lubbock, were at 2 p.m. April 19, 1994, in the First Baptist Church, Spur, with church pastor Rev. Genoa Goad, officiating.Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeal Home.
Mr. Hogan died April 16 in University Medical Center at about 12:25 p.m. of natural causes. He was born June 21, 1920 in Anson and was retired from the U.S. Army.
He married Lucille Morris February 11, 1943 in San Diego, CA. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a Master Sgt. and received many decorations including the National Defense Service Medal; Good conduct Medal; Marksman Medal; United Nations Service Medal; Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Stars.
He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Hogan, Lubbock; two sons, Mark M. Hogan, Jr., Garden Grove, CA; Kelly B. Hogan, Henderson, KY; two daughters, Melodie A. Lester and Lisa M. Morgan, both of Lubbock; a brother, Jack Hogan, Waxahachie; three sisters, Lota Noland, Spur; Archie Nell Davidson, Midland and Alta Smith, Phoenix, AZ; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ellen Lucille Hogan, 72, of Lubbock were held Monday, July 15, 1996 at 10 a.m. in Live Oak Community Church, Lubbock, with Rev. Chuck Williams, pastor officiating.Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday, July 15, 1996 in Spur Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Hogan died at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 1996 at her home in Lubbock. She was born on January 2, 1924 in Roaring Springs and had lived in Lubbock since 1960. She married Mark Monroe Hogan on February 11, 1943 in San Diego, CA, he died Apirl 16, 1994.
Mrs.Hogan was a data processing administrator for the U.S. Federal Government. She was a member of the Live Oak Commuinity Church in Lubbock.
Survivors include two sons Mark M. Hogan, Jr., Garden Grove, CA; Kelly B. Hogan, Lubbock; two daughters, Melodie A. Lester, Lubbock and Lisa M. Morgan, Lubbock; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
