Juanita Hall-Hofschild 82, was born in Dickens on Sept.11,1930; and passed away in Lubbock on Jan.22,2013 She died after a lengthy battle with lung cancer.

Nita lived and worked in Lubbock for much of her life, but moved to Spur to be closer to her sisters. She loved to garden, and plant trees; and grew beautiful roses on her property for all to admire. She also loved dogs and cats and had a following of both. Nita was a member of the Post Church of Christ, and loved to be with the Christians there whenever she could.

Nita is survived by her husband Dennis Hofschild of Spur, brother John Henshaw from Virginia her Daughter Rhonda Campbell of Oklahoma City, and her son Tony Bowdoin of Spur. She is also survived by numerous grand-children and great-grandchildren, and great great grand-children; step-sisters, and other relatives. Nita helped to raise her grand-daughter, Lanita (Buttons) Bowdoin; and her great grand-daughter Angel Burgess for several years during their child-hood.

She was preceded in death by her three sisters who lived in Spur, Texas and Dickens county.

Her memorial service will be held at the Post Church of Christ on Saturday January 26th at 2 P.M. Bro. Travis Sweet will be conducting the service under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home in Spur, Texas. Interment will followed by burial at the Spur Cemetery in Spur, Texas.
