Mrs. Hill, 78, Buried Tuesday

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist church for Mrs. Lula Gertrude Hill, 78, who died at her home on April 6.

Rev. D. I. Terri, pastor of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church officiated.

Mrs. Hill had been a resident of Dickens County since 1923. She was a member of the Dry Lake Baptist church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. H.J. Cunningham, Odessa; Mrs. D.W. Stanley, Lorenzo; one son, Waymon Hill, Ingleside, TX; one brother, John York, Rosebud, TX; five sisters, Mrs. Nellie Bronson, Lubbock; Mrs. Letha Moore, Santa Anna; Mrs. May Howe, Spur; Mrs. Ivy James, Spur, Mrs. Susie Stucky, CA; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Bob Grice, Troy Boothe, Billy Joe Woods, Leon Cunningham, Russell Williams and Homer Hill.

Burial was in the Spur Cemetery.
