Funeral services for Mrs. Lodie Herbst, 74, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Dickens Church of Christ. Gary Williams, minister of the Spur Church officiated.Mrs. Herbst operated the Dickens Inn and bus station for 28 years. She died Jan. 23 in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Herbst.
Survivors include five nieces, Mrs. Joe McDaniel, Spur; Mrs. Emma Burchett, Lubbock; Mrs. Wanda Jones, Sundown; Mrs. Ira Boececker, Stamford; and Mrs. Lovie Freeman, Roswell, NM; two nephews, B.C. Stapleton, Lorenzo and Clarence Gregory, Garland.
Pallbearers included Guy Goen, Fred Arrington, Floyd Barnett, Johnny Koonsman, Wren Jackson and Edgar Robinson.
Interment was in Spur cemetery.
