SPUR (Special) Mrs. Bessie Mae Henderson, 57, of Spur died in a Big Spring hospital Saturday following a lengthy illness.Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Bethel Baptist Church of Spur with the Rev. Norris Taylor, pastor of the Spur First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Spur Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home here.
Born in Paducah, Mrs. Henderson had been a Spur resident since 1920 and was a member of the Spur Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, W.R.; a son, Ricky of Tahoka a daughter, Mrs. Janette Latham of Lubbock; two brothers, Jack Eubanks and Homer Eubanks, both of Dickens; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be R.J. Bell, Earl Thomason, Robert Hahn, Clide Smith, Jack Simmons and Elmer Wright.

SPUR Willis R. Henderson Jr., 64, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, after a sudden illness while mowing a lawn here.Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bethel Baptist Church here with the Rev. Jim Palmer, pastor, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Norris Taylor, pastor of First Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Spur Cemetery directed by Campbell Funeral Home.
Henderson married Bessie Eubanks in 1951 at Spur. He came to Dickens County in 1911 and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. He was a World War II veteran.
Henderson is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Janette Latham of Dickens a son, Ricky of Spur; two brothers, E.L. of Spur and Luther of Lubbock; Mrs. Cordell Smith, both of Spur and two grandchildren.
