U.S.Flag   Services for Kenneth Albert (Monk) Harris, 55, of Spur, were held Tuesday, May 17, 1994 at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with church pastor, Rev. Genoa Goad, officiating.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mr. Harris died at 8 a.m. May 16 in the Crosbyton Clinic Hosptial. He was born in Kent County on August 6, 1938 and had lived in Spur most of his life. He married Polly Day in Lubbock on June 12, 1964. He was a heavy equipment operator and a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Polly Harris, Spur; three daughters, Kim Bateman, Vernon; Kellie Harris, Houston and Laura Dunlap, Bay City; two sisters, Joyce Dunn, Lubbock and Helen Kimbell, Ft. Worth; his father and step-mother, Albert and Amanda Harris, Girard; six grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bob Dyess, Tommy Latham, John David Foreman, Carlos Bass, Bill Watson and Joe Hardin.
