Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist church for Mr.s J. B. Haralson, 50. Rev. Norris Taylor officiated, assisted by Rev. John Jenkins.Mrs. Haralson had served as office secretary in the Spur schools for a number of years. she died in Methodist hospital, Lubbock, Sunday morning. ?she had been a resident of spur since 1938. she was a member of the Baptist church.
Born Loraine Bond in 1918, she married J. B. Haralson, Jr. in 1943.
Survivors include her husband, of Spur; one son, Neal Haralson and a daughter, Jana Haralson, both of spur; three sisters, Mrs. Zettye Parrack, Eastland; Mrs. Modell McDaniel, Midland; Mrs. Lillian Barrett of Cleburne; five brothers, Homer Bond of Abilene; Raleigh, Hamlin, Erell, Nashville, AR; Clayton, Eunice, NM and Della Maine of Monahans.
Pallbearers included A. J. Harvey, Dempsey Alexander, Lester Ball, Ben Spradling, Ray DeBord and Robert Williams.
the school board and superintendent were honorary pallbearers. There was no school Tuesday.
Interment was in Spur Cemetery.

Funeral services for James B.Haralson, 65, were held Monday at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with former Spur pastor, Rev. Norris Taylor Stinnett, officiating.Haralson died May 5 in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Big Spring following a lengthy illness. Born October 2, 1918 in Ft. Sumner, NM, Haralson married the former Loraine Bond in Spur on December 24, 1943, she died on January 5, 1969.
He was an accountant and a member of the Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II. He moved to Abilene from Spur in 1969. He was in the bookkeeping department of Hendrix Hospital for a number of years and was honored by being named the Outstanding Employee.
Survivors include one son, Neal Haralson, Lubbock; a daughter, Jane Johnston, Abilene; a brother, W.H. (Bill) Haralson, Lindale; one sister, Odessa Coaton, Abilene and three grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Pallbearers included Travis Hoover, Bunk Garner, Rip Garner, Lester Hall, Freeman Clifton and Robert Williams.
Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
