Funeral services for Emmett Eleano [Elcano] Hagins, 57, were held Friday at the First Methodist Church, Spur, with Rev. R.H. Knight, McAdoo Methodist pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Conrad Ryan, Ralls.Mr. Hagins had been a resident of Dickens County all of his life, being born in 1904 in the Gilpin community. He married the former Della Campbell in 1933. He had been living in McAdoo for the past three years. He was a farmer. He died suddenly on March 1. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Elbert Jackson, McAdoo; Mrs. Herbert Donnell, Levelland; one son, H.P. Hagins, Hobbs, NM; five sisters, Mrs. Walter Driggers and Miss Mary Pearl Hagins, both of Spur; Mrs. Rubem Lee, Ft. Worth; Mrs. Lea Porter and Mrs. Gladys Marshall, both of Dallas; two brothers, J.L. Hagins, Spur and Odan Hagins, Lubbock, five grandchildren.
Pallbearers included D.J. Dyess, Lawis Lee, Howard Thomas, Earl Van Meter, Henry Harris and Dick Edenburg.
Interment was in Spur Cemetery.

Funeral services Mrs. Della Emelia Hagins, 83, of Levelland, were held at 11 a.m. June 2, 1995 in the George C. Price Funeral Chapel.Dr. Lynn Moore, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Levelland and Rev. Bruce Cotton, pastor, College Avenue Baptist Church, Levelland, officiated.
Graveside services were held in Spur Memorial Cemetery at 3 p.m. Friday. George C. Price Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hagins died at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday in Levelland Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 10, 1912, in Spur and had been a resident of Levelland since 1970, moving there from Spur. She married Emmett E. Hagins November 18, 1933 in Spur. He preceded her in death in 1962. She was also preceded in death by a son, H.P. Hagins in 1988 and a daughter, Ann Lou Jackson in 1988 and a grandson, Lesley Donnell in 1991.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Wynell Donnell, Levelland; two brothers, Aron Campbell, Ajo, Arizona and August Campbell, Lady Lake, Florida; three sisters, Velma Simmons, Colorado City; Novella Turner, Idalou and Ida Mae Wilks, Post; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ed Wimberly, Bill Gibson, Dennis Price, Earl Melton, Don Ison and Burl Anderson.
