Funeral services for Dorothy Nell Gunn, 86, will be held Thursday afternoon [January 31] at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church. Rev. Norris Taylor, Stinnett, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Darwin Cox.
Mrs. Gunn died about 3:16 Wednesday morning in the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a brief illness. She had been a resident of Dickens County for 20 years. Born Dorothy Nell DuBois on August 8, 1898, in Jewell, Texas, she married William Wilson Gunn in 1924 in Cameron. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, William Wilson Gunn, Spur; one son, Waybourn Wilson Gunn, Lipscomb; one sister, Bess Barron, Bryan and four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Burial will be in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Services for William Wilson (Pop) Gunn, 94, of Spur, were held Friday, January 11, 1991 at graveside in Spur Memorial Cemetery. Dr. Genoa Goad, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Spur, officiated.
Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
Mr. Gunn died January 9, 1991 in the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born in Bon Air, Tennessee on November 9, 1886. In his early life, he worked as a cowboy on the Matador Ranch. He later became associated with the Agriculture Stabilization Committee and served as office manager for many years. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was a past president and former member of the Spur Lions Club.
He was an Army veteran of World War I and served as a deacon in the Baptist Church for 50 years. He married Dorothy Nell Dubois on July 15, 1924 in Cameron. She died on Janary 30, 1985.
He is survived by one son, Waybourn (Bill) Gunn of Lipscomb; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
