T. T. (Jake) Grizzle, a longtime and well-known Crosbyton resident, was claimed by death about 1 p.m. last Thursday in Crosbyton Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 72.

Memorial services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. Rodney Brown of McAdoo.

Interment was made in Spur Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Adams Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were Waldo Havens, Billy Webster, Elbert Humble, Leon Havens, Norton Barrett, and Bennie Smith.

Born September 9, 1905 in Red River County, Mr. Grizzle moved in 1913 to Kalgary. He came to Crosbyton in 1952.

A retired farmer, Mr. Grizzle was a resident of Crosbyton Care Center.

He is survived by one son, Gary Grizzle of Enfield, Conn.; one daughter, Mrs. H.F. (Lovey Jo) Harris of McAdoo; one brother, Sam Grizzle of Crosbyton; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Another son, Bobby Dwayne Grizzle, preceded his father in death in 1940 at the age of two.

Memorial services for T.T. (Jake) Grizzle were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in Crosbyton First Baptist Church. Officiating were the Rev. Rodney Brown of McAdoo, the Rev. Bobby Rine of Crosbyton, and the Rev. Otis Pierce of Kalgary.

Interment was made in spur Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

The 72-year old Crosbyton resident succumbed about 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. He suffered a stroke and was admitted to the hospital the previous Sunday.

Mr. Grizzle was a resident of the Crosbyton Care Center.

Born Sept. 11, 1905 in Red River County, he moved to Kalary in 1913. He retired from farming in 1952 when he moved from Kalgary to Crosbyton. Mr. Grizzle was employed for several years by City of Crosbyton.

Survivors include one son, Gary of Enfield, Conn., one daughter, H.F.(Lovey Jo) Harris of McAdoo, one brother, Sam Grizzle of Crosbyton; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Another son, Bobby Dwayne Grizzle, died June 10, 1939 at the age of 18 months.
