Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ruth Grantham, 74, were held Monday at the Steel Hill Church of Christ, Dell Young, minister officiating, assisted by Novel Baize, Abilene.

Mrs. Grantham died in Anson where she had been a resident in a rest home since 1957. Born in Parker County, Texas, she married L.A.Grantham in 1910 in Stonewall County and the couple made their first home in the Red Hill community. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons Carl, Spur and L.A., Lubbock; one brother, Don Brewster, Littlefield; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Mitt Young, Garner Young, Joe Latham, Abb Latham, Clyde Horn and Bill Hale.

Interment was in Spur Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge.

Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. in Campbell's Funeral Chapel for Mr. Leonard Albert Grantham, Sr., 79. R.W. Poynor, minister of the 17th & N Church of Christ, officiated.

Mr. Grantham, a retired farmer, died in the Anson Hospital, June 11.

A resident of the Red Hill community, east of Spur, Mr. Grantham first came to Dickens County in 1916. He had been in an Anson rest home since March 1965. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by two sons C.C. Grantham, Spur; Leonard Grantham, two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Westfall, Spur; Mrs. Josie Henderson, Lamesa; one brother, R.E. Grantham, Okanogan, Wash. Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.

Pallbearers included J.C. Reese, Marcus Copeland, Mitt Young, Albert Latham, Clyde Horn, Bill Hale and Joe Latham.

Interment was in Spur Cemetery.
