Graveside services for Santos E. Gonzales, 73, of Spur were Tuesday, April 14, 1998 at the Spur Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Bob Wright, Spur, officiated. A prayer service was held Monday at the Campbell Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Gonzales died Friday, April 10 at Methodist Hospital, Lubbock.
Mr. Gonzales was born in Floresville, Texas December 23, 1924. He had lived in Spur since 1964 coming from Alice, Texas. He married Regina Molina July 19, 1967 in Spur. She preceded him in death May 2, 1995. One daughter, Felicita G. Santos, also preceded him in death on February 20, 1997, and a brother, Timothy Gonzales who died in 1994. he was a farmer and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include 6 sons, Alfred Gonzales, Spur; Juan Manuel Gonzales, Gatesville; Edward Gonzales, Childress; Jimmy Herrera, Spur; Frank Herrera, Spur; John Gonzales, Spur; 4 daughters, Sandra Vela, Kingsville; Marie Lusia Aregllano, Alice; Virginia Molina, Spur; Sandra Stewart, Wichita Falls; four brothers, 2 sisters, 22 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.
