Services for Ofilia Gonzales, 57, of Shallowater, formerly of Spur, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at St. Mary´s Catholic Church in Spur with the Rev. Joseph Vazhupadickal officiating. Burial was in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.
Rosary was held Monday, April 16, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home Chapel.
She died Saturday, April 14, 2001, in Shallowater, Texas. She was born July 28, 1943, in Alice, Texas. She lived in the Spur area most of her life before moving to Shallowater. She was a cook for Spur and McAdoo school districts for several years. She was a housewife and a member of St. Mary´s Catholic Church.
She is survived by her mother, Juanita Hinojosa of Pleasanton; two sons, Roy Gonzales of Lubbock and Freddie Gonzalez of Spur; two daughters, Angela Martinez and Diana Gonzales, both of Lubbock; three brothers, Miguel Hinojosa of Mathis, Seferino Hinojosa of Slaton and Raphael Hinojosa of Pleasanton; eight sisters, Petra Villareal and Alicia Perez, both of Mathis, Ofelia Silva and Lupe Gonzales, both of Leming, Va., Escamilla and Eva Ledesma, both of Pleasanton, Maria Quintana of Lorenzo and Juanita Garcia of Minnesota; and five grandchildren
