Pioneer resident Buried Saturday
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, April 5, at 3 o'clock for Frank Goff, 80, a pioneer resident of Spur who died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, April 3 in a Fort Worth hospital.
Services were held at the First Christian Church in Spur, with Rev. Mervin Coad, pastor of the First Christian Church at Graham officiating. Interment was in the Spur Cemetery.
Mr. Goff who was born September 6, 1866 operated the first Magnolia Petroleum Company agency in Spur before his retirement several years ago. He was well known throughout Dickens County and was highly respected by his many friends.
Surviving him are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Clark Forbis of Afton, Mrs. H.L. Clay of Fort Worth, and Mrs. Joe Shelby Clay of Graham and two sisters, Mrs. T.J. Matthews of Albany and Mrs. Nellie Armstrong of New Mexico.
