CROSBYTON (Special) — Services for Marie Godfrey, 76, of Dallas will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Spur First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Moore, pastor of Slaton First Baptist Church, and the Rev. Lester Griffin, pastor of Crosbyton First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Spur Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday in her home. Dallas County Medical Examiner Charles Petty ruled natural causes in the death.

Mrs. Godfrey was born in Hermleigh and moved from Spur to Dallas in 1967. She married Hollis Godfrey on Dec. 16, 1952, in Clovis, N.M. She had owned Spur Laundry and Dry Cleaning and farmed in the Roaring Springs area. She was a housewife and a member of Dallas´ Clis Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Gary Grizzle of Enfield, Conn.; a daughter, Lovey Jo Nance of Bovina; two brothers, Bert Robinett of Crosbyton and Sherman Robinett of Lamesa; four sisters, Mabel Morris of Crosbyton, Faye Sprayberry of Clovis, Billie Meacham of Dimmitt, and Geta Wiggins of El Paso; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
