Funeral rites for Lonnie Samuel Gilmore, 77, were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church in Crosbyton. Gilmore died about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the Crosbyton Hospital.The Rev. Henry Causey of Temple officiated, assisted by the Rev. Ernest Stewart of Crosbyton.
Burial was in Spur cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.
Gilmore was a native of Dickens County and had worked most of his life as a cowboy in Dickens and Crosby Counties.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Lenora Latham of Spur; two sons, Claude Gilmore of Amarillo and Jim Gilmore of Graham; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Bundrant of Pasadena and Mrs. Mellie Pendley of Orland, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
