SPUR (Special) Services for Raymond Amos Gilcrease, 75, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church here with the Rev. Sam Simmons, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Spur Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
Gilcrease, a native of Orr, Okla., died at 6:30 a.m. Friday in Crosbyton Hospital after a lengthy illness. The former city judge and justice of the peace was a retired postal employee who came to Dickens County 41 years ago from Santa Fe, NM. He married Udell Glass July 1, 1934, in Ringling, Okla. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, three sons, Randell of Euless, Kenneth of Nashville, TN, and Ricky of Spur; a daughter, Norma Roberson of Euless, two brothers, Rusty of Wilson, Okla., and Felix of Marietta, Okla; nine grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

Services for Udell Gilcrease, 87, of Spur will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 9, 2004, at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rory Mosley officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
The Lord called her home on the morning of Sept. 6, 2004.
Mrs. Gilcrease was born July 19, 1917 to William and Delia Childers Glass, Sr. in Chillicothe, TX. She married Raymond Gilcrease in 1935. The couple moved to Spur in 1941. Mrs. Gilcrease was a woman of excellent reasoning and wit with the gift of making a house a home. She made sure that everyone had a favorite dish at the family gatherings. She was nursery director for 10 years at the First Baptist Church in Spur.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in 1982, a granddaughter, Kris Barton in 1997, 2 sisters, Faye Arnold and Blanche Wilson of Spur, and 2 brothers, Eddie Glass of Spur and Millard Glass of Vernon.
Mrs. Gilcrease is survived by 3 sons; Kenneth and wife Lynda, Randell and wife Fernella, ad Rick Gilcrease, all of Spur, 1 daughter; Norma Roberson of Spur, 1 brother; W.B. "Dub" Glass, Jr., of Ventura, CA; 1 brother-in-law; Rusty Gilcrease of Wilson, OK; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Although she will be dearly missed by all who knew her, we rejoice that she is with her Savior.
