Margarito Joe Garcia, 73, of Spur died Friday April 20, 2007. Services were held Monday April 23, 2007 at St. Mary�s Catholic Church in Spur with Fr. Paul Kariakatt officiating. Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral.
Joe was born June 17, 1933 in Spur to Luis and Loretta Pauda Garcia. He married Alice Cantu on November 29, 1958 in Spur. He was a farmer, rancher and lifetime resident of Dickens County. Joe was the wonderful father of nine children. He was a member of St. Mary�s Catholic Church and coordinator for the Crucillista�s for many years.
He is survived by his wife Alice; five sons, Daniel Garcia, Pat Garcia, Edwardo Garcia, Andy Garcia and Christopher Garcia; three daughters, Caroline Garcia Lara, Elia Garcia Gamboa and Nancy Garcia Driver; three brothers, Pete Garcia, Willie Garcia and Joe John Garcia; three sisters, Anita Guerrero, Francis Navarro and Julia Puente; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Danny Ray Garcia and three brothers. The family suggests memorials to St. Mary�s Catholic Church, P.O. Box 189, Spur, TX 79370.
