Funeral services were held Friday at 10 a.m. for Margarito Garcia, 80, a retired farmer. Father John Duddy officiated at the service held in St. Mary´s Catholic Church. Mr. Garcia died at his home in Spur on January 15, 1964. He had been a resident of Dickens County since 1931. He was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Juanita Garcia; five sons, Luis & Martin Garcia, Spur; Jesse Garcia, Hart; Riley Garcia, Levelland, and Augustine Garcia, Snyder; three daughters, Mrs. Tulis Garcia; Mrs. Pauline Gonzales and Mrs. Juanita Garcia, all of Spur, one brother, Jesus Garcia, old Mexico; 30 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mercedez Garcia, Augustine Garcia, Pedro Garcia, Lencho Garcia, Luis Garcia and Andres Garcia. Burial was in Spur Cemetery.

Funeral services were held August 16, 1964 for Juanita Saliz Garcia at St. Mary´s Catholic Church in Spur. Father James Duddy officiated the rosary services Monday night at 8 p.m. in the chapel.
Mrs. Garcia was born June 24, 1894 in Old Mexico and died in Spur, August 15, 1964, having come to Dickens County in 1931.
She is survived by five sons; Luis, Spur; Jesus, Hart, Raul, Levelland, Martin, Spur and Augustine, Snyder; three daughters, Tulez Garcia and Janie Garcia of Spur, and Pauline Gonzalez of Cone; thirty grandchildren and thirty-seven great grandchildren.
Burial was in the Spur Cemetery.
