Funeral services for William O'Connor Formby, 76, were conducted at the First Baptist Church in Spur, Tuesday, February 8, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Dock Love, officiating, assisted by Rev. A.P. Stokes and Rev. Lee Vaughn.

Interment followed in the Spur Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.

Mr. Formby was born in Arkansas and came to Texas and Dickens County in 1915. He had been a resident of this area since then. He was married to Miss Dura Ramey in Como, Texas on December 4, 1892. Mr. Formby was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, four sons, Leon , Reese, Wallace and Warren; five daughters, Mrs. Nell Baxter, Mrs. Fannie Hicks, Mrs. Grace Dobbs, Mrs. Mildred Slough, and Mary Sue; three sisters, Mrs. M.E. Stovall, Mrs. J.M. Freeman and Mrs. I.N. Stovall; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
