R.D. Ford

  Funeral services for R.D. Ford, 59, were held Sunday at 4 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church, with former Spur pastor Rev. W.D. McReynolds, Midland, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Eddie Allsup.

Mr. Ford died at his home here on September 11. He had lived most of his life in Spur. He had been a member of the VFW for over 25 years. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Methodist Church.

He is survived by two sons, Robert David Ford, Cleveland, Ohio and Charles A. Ford, Kansas City, Kansas; one sister Ivorie English, Phoenix, AZ and one nephew, William Bruce Ford, III, Houston; one grandchild.

Pallbearers included Boney Winkler, Chris Berry, Mike Berry, Austin Watson, Wayne Beadle and Arthur Hollingshead.

Burial was in Spur Cemetery under direction of Campbell´s Funeral Home.
