Services for Tranquilina Flores, 97, of Spur were held Monday, December 27, 2004 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Paul Kariakatt officiating.Interment was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
She died Tuesday, December 2, 2004 in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
Mrs. Flores was born July 7, 1907 in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Carmelito and Jesusa Cano. She had been a Dickens County resident for the last 79 years, having moved here at the age of 18. She married Jesus Flores in 1959. He preceded her in death in 1964. She was also preceded in death by 7 children. She was a Guadalupana for the Catholic Church, and a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Maria Lester and Pantalion Sanchez of Spur, one son, Jesse Roa of Shamrock, one son-in-law Ramiro Rodriquez, Sr. of Spur, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
