Eric Fine Services for Eric Dale Fine, 19, Spur were at 2 p.m. Monday, January 23, 1995, in the First Baptist Church with church pastor; Rev. Genoa Goad, officiating.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Fine died about 5:30 a.m. January 21, 1995 in University Medical Center, Lubbock. He had been hospitalized following a one vehicle accident that took place on FM 1228 about 8 and 1/2 miles northwest of Jayton on January 1, 1995.

Three other teenagers died in the accident. They included Cory Morris, 17, of Spur; Devin Brooke Gallaway, 17 of Aspermont and Sher Lynn Stanland. 16, of Jayton. Morris was a senior in Spur High School and Miss Stanland and Miss Gallaway were juniors at Jayton High School.

Fine suffered internal injuries. He was born May 27, 1975 in Marlow, OK. He had lived in Spur for the past seven years and was an honor graduate of Spur High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He took part in football, tract, basketball and golf. He was a sophomore at South Plains College, Levelland.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Melva and Lance Harris, Spur; his father and step-mother, Jerry and Angie Fine of Dallas; grandparents, Doris Pierce, Comanche, OK; Howard Pierce, Duncan, OK; Spencer and Ferrel Fine, Bray, OK; great grandparents, William Fine, Bray, OK and Lela McKinzie, Marlow, OK; one brother, Eric Harris, Yukon, OK; two sisters, Holly Fine and Kaitlyn Harris, both of Spur; step-grandparents, Donald and Rita Harris; McAdoo; step-great grandmothers, Faye Harris, McAdoo and Doris Van Meter, also of McAdoo; step-great-great grandmother, Grace Tucker, Crosbyton.

Pallbearers included Heath Givens, Chad Morris, Craig Hamilton, Carson Latham, Shane Parson, Mark right, Chris Horn and Reid Arnold.

Memorials may be made to the Cory Morris Scholarship Fund, in care of Spur High School.
