Services for Thomas Edwin Faulkner, 72, were held, October 23, at 10:30 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Genoa Goad, pastor, officiating.
Faulkner died about 1:35 p.m. on October 21, in Crosbyton Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a retired trucker. Born in New Waverly on November 6, 1914, he had resided in Dickens County since 1930. He married Myrtis Teague on July 25, 1936, in Collin.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtis Faulkner, Spur; one daughter, Sandra Taylor, Dickens; one brother, Clarence Hubert Faulkner, Abilene; two sisters, Lillian Wade, Abilene; and Mrs. D.E. Allan, McAdoo; two grandchildren, Mitzi Thompson and Rebel Taylor.
Pallbearers included Bill Smith, Lewis Mullins, Dutch Hines, Doyle Redding, Armon Fitzgerald. Mansell Bragg was honorary pallbearer.
Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Graveside services were held March 30, 1995 at 2 p.m. in Spur Memorial Cemetery for Myrtis Tennessee Faulkner, 75, of Spur. Rev. Norris Taylor, Baptist pastor from Idalou, officiated.
Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Faulkner died March 28, 1995 in Methodist Hospital. She was born July 24, 1919 in Chalk, Texas and had lived in Spur since 1936. She married Thomas E. Faulkner in Collin, Texas on August 25, 1936. He preceded her in death on Ocrober 21, 1987.
She was a nurses aide, a hairdresser and also worked in the school cafeteria. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Jo Taylor, Dickens; a sister, Dorothy Berry, Spur; two grandchildren, Mitzi Taylor, Spur and Rebel Bradley, Dickens; two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Lewis Mullins, Tom Hale, Jerry Tarrant, Bill Hicks, Sonny Fry and John David Foreman.
