Obituary

Funeral services were held for Willie Lee Eubank, 66, at the First Methodist Church, Spur, Monday, October 15, 1951.

Eubank was born in San Saba County on January 25, 1886 and came to Dickens County in July of 1918. He was married to Alice Holleyman at Cisco, Texas in 1900. He died at 1 p.m. October 14, 1951.

Rev. Cal C. Wright officiated at the services with D.A. Alexander, Norian Berry, Guy Williams, Kelley Marsh, Shag Moudy and Joe Latham serving as pallbearers.

He was converted to the Christian religion early in life and was a member of the Methodist Church. Interment was in Spur Cemetery with Chandler´s Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Alice Eubank of Spur; one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Mae Henderson; two sons, Homer L. Eubank of Spur and Jack Eubank of Haskell; seven sisters, two brothers and two grandchildren.

Alice Holleyman Eubank Last rites were conducted for Alice Elizabeth Eubank Tuesday, July 28, at the First Methodist Church in Spur. Rev. Cal C. Wright officiated.

Mrs. Eubank was born September 25, 1885 in Comanche County, Texas. She had been an invalid for some years and died in her home July 27, 1953. She was married to W.L. Eubank on October 15, 1911 in Cisco, Texas. They moved to Dickens County in 1918. She was converted and united with the Methodist Church early in life.

Mrs. Eubank is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Mae Henderson, Spur; two sons, Homer and Jack of Spur; three sisters, four half-brothers; one half-sister; stepmother, Mrs. L.N. Holleyman, Morton and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Alvis Bilberry, Raymond Gilcrease, Marvin Blair, Morris Yandell, Bert Cherry and Cecil Fitzgerald.

Interment was in the Spur Cemetery with Chandler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
