Obituary

Graveside services for Ivorie Estelle English, 93, of Houston, Texas were Monday, February 9, 1998 at the Spur Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Larry Burton of Spur officiated. Burial was under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

Mrs. English died Thursday, February 5, in Houston. She was born September 10, 1904 in Red River County, Texas. She attended business school in Abilene in 1928, and worked as a bank teller in Lubbock until she married Amon English in 1932. She lived most of her life in Arizona where they owned several ranches. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Her husband preceded her in death October 20, 1972. She continued to live in Arizona until 1995 when she moved to Houston.

Survivors include three nephews, William Bruce Ford, III, Spring, Texas; David Ford, North Olinsted, Ohio; and Charles Ford, Kansas City, Missouri.
