Miss Zell Ellis killed in car accident Sunday
Funeral services for Miss Zell Carter Ellis, 44, former Spur resident were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in First Methodist Church there. Mr. William McReynolds, pastor, officiated, assisted by Mr. Carl Hudson, Methodist pastor at Miami. Burial was in Spur Cemetery.Miss Ellis was killed in a two-car accident Sunday at a highway intersection one mile north of San Angelo. She had taught for 12 years in the San Angelo school system and had recently been teaching at San Angelo´s Edison Junior High School.
Mrs. Mildred Mathews Gunn, Fort Worth, was injured in the second car. Miss Ellis was driving alone at the time of the accident.
Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Rachel Bingham, Spur; Mrs. Agatha Arrington, Miami, and Mrs. Dulaney Davis, Ralls; and two brothers, Harry Ellis, Spur and Dudley Ellis, Truscott.

Miss Zell Ellis Buried Tuesday
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist Church for Miss Zell Carter Ellis, 54. She was killed instantly in an automobile accident in San Angelo on March 8, 1964.Church pastor, Rev. William McReynolds officiated, assisted by Rev. Carl Hudson, Miami.
Born in Kent County in 1909, she had resided for the past 12 years in San Angelo. She was a school teacher and had taught previously at Ft. Sumner, NM and at Las Cruces. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Dudley Ellis, Truscott, Harry Ellis, Spur, three sisters, Mrs. Agatha Arrington, Miami, Texas, Mrs. Delaney Davis, Ralls; Mrs. Rachael Bingham, Spur.
Burial was in the Spur Cemetery.
