Obituary

Jerry R. East Rites Held Here Monday Morning

Funeral services were held Monday for Jerry Randolph East, Lubbock, who died of self-inflicted gunshot wound Saturday.

Vernon Williams, minister of the Spur Church of Christ, officiated at the services, assisted by Garnie Atkisson, Lovington, NM.

Mr. East was a 1955 graduate of Spur High School and a member of the Church of Christ. His parents formerly owned a variety store in Spur.

Survivors include Mr. and Mrs. Randolph East, Austin, his parents; two daughters, Luanne East and Cheryla Lynn East; and one son, Tommy Ferrell East, all of Lovington. Interment in Spur, cousins as pallbearers.

Funeral Services Held Monday For Jerry R. East

Funeral services for Jerry Randolph East, 24 year old former Lovington resident, were held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Spur Church of Christ with O.H. Tabor, minister from Carlsbad officiating.

Burial was in the Spur Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home, Spur. Cousins were pallbearers.

Survivors include two daughters, Luanne and Cherlya, and a son, Tommy Ferrell East, all of Lovington, and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Randolph East of Austin, Tex.

East was a musician with western dance band in Lubbock.
