U.S.Flag   Private services for Elda Nyle Dunton, 69, of Spur were held Sunday, April 18, 1999 under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

Mr. Dunton died Friday, April 16, 1999 in Lubbock Methodist Hospital. He was born October 9, 1929 in Grand Island, Nebraska. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Korean War. He married Rosemary Powell April 20, 1962 in Boise, Idaho. They moved to Spur in 1985 from California. He was a retired house painter.

He was preceded in death by one son, Donald in 1981.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Robert H. Dunton, St. Petersburg, Florida; Carl R. Dunton, North Platte, Nebraska; Dewaine Dunton, Sweetwater; Randy D. Dunton, Spur; two daughter, Val Rendon, Spur; and Helen Bennett, Lovington, NM; two brothers, Rodney Dunton, Idaho; Mervin Dunton, Utah; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
