Funeral services for Ellis Hugh Draper, 83, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Spur, with Rev. Riley Fugitt, Clyde, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Norris Taylor, pastor of the Spur church.A retired farmer, Mr. Draper died April 13 in West Texas Medical Center, Abilene. He moved to Dickens County at an early age and lived here most of his life. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Hahn Draper, Clyde; a son, Jimmy Draper, Seagraves and a daughter, Mary Saxon, Bosque Farms, NM; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
Burial was in Spur Cemetery.

Funeral services for Alma Hahn Draper, 95, Brownfield were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 1997, at First Baptist Church of Spur. Reverend Norris Taylor, Idalou, officiated. Interment was in Spur Cemetery under the direction of Connaly Funeral Home, Seagraves.Mrs Draper died Saturday, January 11, 1997 in Brownfield Regional Medical Center.
She was born, July 3, 1901 in Swenson, Texas to James M. Hahn and the former Addie Craft. She married Ellis Hugh Draper on July 2, 1922 in Spur, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Seagraves. She had lived in Spur and Clyde before moving to Seagraves to be near her family, and then on to South Plains Healthcare Center in Brownfield, where she was living at the time of her death.
Survivors include one son, Jim Draper, Seagraves; one daughter, Mary Saxon, Bosque Farms, NM; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. One brother, Bill Hahn, Post and a sister, Iva Alldredge, Clyde, also survive her.
