Obituary

After an illness of several weeks, Mrs. Mollie Denson died December 18, 1923 at the age of 68, and was laid to rest in Spur Cemetery December 19th. Mrs. Denson was born in Burleson County, Texas near Caldwell, November 21, 1855 and was married to Charles Denson October 19, 1872. To this union were born nine children. One died in infancy. The following survive her: Rufus and Alfred Denson of Sagerton; Arthur and Jack Denson of Spur; Mrs. Lucy Hickman of Aspermont; Mrs. Fannie Marley of San Antonio; Mrs. Ruby High of Cleburne and Miss Eunice Denson of Spur. A brother and sister also survive her: Mrs. G.C. Wilkinson of Clyde and Mrs. Fannie Walker of Baird, Texas.

Mrs. Denson´s husband died September 4, 1896. Therefore the responsibility of rearing the family was left to the mother, but never a mother bore her burden more cheerfully or with a more self-sacrificing spirit than did "Aunt Mollie" as she was familiarly called.
