G.A. Craven died Monday night at the Standifer Hospital as a result of knife wounds self-inflicted several days ago. The remains were interred in the Spur Cemetery.

G.A. Craven was bout 24 years old and a brother of J.C. Craven of the Duck Creek country. He came here several weeks ago from Eastland County to make his home with his brother. Several years ago he was injured in the head by a horse falling with him, and within the past several months he developed symptoms of insanity and made several attempts to kill himself. In an unguarded hour, after his arrival here, he secured the knife and stabbed himself several times. He was brought to the Standifer Hospital where he remained until his death Monday night.
