Former county Resident dies in New Mexico

Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Florence Covey were held Tuesday at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. M.H. Abbott, Lubbock officiating, assisted by the Rev. Cal C. Wright.

She came to Dickens County in 1925, but had made her home in Lubbock for the past 20 years. She died in her daughters home in Portales, NM last Saturday.

Survivors include 5 daughters: Mrs. Norman Wilson, Spur, Mrs. R.T. Bilberry, Portales, Mrs. W.R. Anderson, Lubbock, Mrs. L.E. Derring, Savage; Mrs. Birdie Stanley, Lubbock; two sons: Virgil Dement, Lubbock; Harold Dement, U.S. Air Corp, Hawaii. One sister, Mrs. Cora Wilcox, Palestine and 22 grandchildren and 7 great grand children.
