Rickey Leon Corder On December 21, 2013 Rickey Leon Corder, 58 of Spur went to be with our Lord after a short bout with cancer. He was born in Lubbock Texas January 27, 1955 to Bill and Ava Corder.

Upon his graduation from Spur High School in 1973, he started his working career with Stanley Whitefield in Spur Texas with Cable TV. He later worked alongside his father who was a well-known water well contractor. After his father�s retirement he became a Correctional Officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for 16 years. His passion was riding his Harley and NHRA Drag Racing.He enjoyed working as a volunteer at the Spur food pantry.

Services will be held Saturday December 28that 2:00pm at Community Bible Chapel with Sandy Sandlin officiating. Under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home; Spur, Texas.

Rickey was preceded in death by his father Bill in 2000, his mother Ava in 2003 and nephew Jason Sullivan in 2006.

He will be sorely missed by numerous friends and his surviving family sister Connie Rainbolt of Spur Texas, niece Becky Torres and husband Stevie of Grand Prairie Texas, niece Belinda Baker of Cedar Hill Texas, Dana Sullivan of Krum Texas, six great nephews and four great nieces, and 1 great great niece.
