Funeral services for Miss Mary Eula Copeland, 77, were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Nay officiating. Nay is the pastor of the First Christian Church.Miss Copeland died in Austin May 26. She had been employed as a legal secretary for an insurance company. She lived in Dickens County from 1910 to 1917. She had lived in Austin for 37 years.
Survivors include a half-brother, M.M. Copeland, Spur; a half-sister, Mrs. Beulah Snodgrass, Roswell, N.M.
Pallbearers included Buddy Wright, Rex Carlisle, Mutt Hagins, Pete Hagins, Ford Taylor and Roy Redding.
Burial was in the Spur Cemetery.
