Funeral services for Miss Mary Eula Copeland, 77, were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Nay officiating. Nay is the pastor of the First Christian Church.

Miss Copeland died in Austin May 26. She had been employed as a legal secretary for an insurance company. She lived in Dickens County from 1910 to 1917. She had lived in Austin for 37 years.

Survivors include a half-brother, M.M. Copeland, Spur; a half-sister, Mrs. Beulah Snodgrass, Roswell, N.M.

Pallbearers included Buddy Wright, Rex Carlisle, Mutt Hagins, Pete Hagins, Ford Taylor and Roy Redding.

Burial was in the Spur Cemetery.
