Funeral services were held in Spur Sunday with Rev. H.L. Burnam in charge. Interment was in Spur cemetery with the undertaker at Munday in charge, assisted by Campbell Funeral Chapel in Spur.

The survivors are nine children: Mrs. Alpha Tuttle of Salina, Okla., Mrs. Amalee Harris of Munday, Claud Collier of Abilene, Mrs. Margie Chaney of Littlefield, Mrs. Effie Knight of Carlsbad, NM, Stf Sgt H.F. Collier of Camp Maxey, Mrs. Ruby Wallsworth of Spur, Mrs. Opal Guffey of Munday. One sister, Mr. Julia Barnard of Florence, Alabama still survives. Mrs. Collier and two sons, Joe and Harvey, had preceded him in death.

Mr. Collier was born at Linville, Ala., May 17, 1865, and had passed his 77th birthday anniversary last May. He was a son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Thomas Collier who resided at Linville many years. When about 15 years of age he made a profession of the Christian religion and became a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. His membership was with the Espuela Baptist Church at the time of his demise.

He married in Alabama and came to Texas when a young man. He lived at Rochester many years before moving to Spur twelve years ago. Mr. Collier was a man who took much pride in a good name and often remarked that he did not want to do anything that would cause a blot on the good name his father gave him.
