Obituary

Graveside services for Ronnie Eugene Clifton, 54, of Spur, were held Tuesday, September 9, 1997 at the Spur Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Henderson, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mr. Clifton died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1997, in Spur.

Mr. Clifton was born March 8, 1943, in Graham and lived most of his life in Spur.He worked for many years in the automotive business as a parts and body man and a mechanic. He was currently employed by Glenn Martin Companies. He married Betty Norris on July 24, 1967, in Spur. She preceded him in death 1977. He then married Ruby York on Oct. 14, 1978, in Spur.

Survivors include his wife; his parents, Nedra and Freeman Clifton of Spur; one daughter, Dvonna Grundy of Matador; three stepdaughters, Paula Long of Girard, Janelle Clifton of Spur and Belinda Clifton of Afton; three stepsons, Kenney Lea of San Antonio, Bobby Lea of Lubbock and Matthew Clifton of Spur; one brother, Darrell Clifton of Spur; one sister, Vanita Smithey of Houston; and one grandson.
